Poppins Bag

Service Description

Learn to make the Poppins bag! Class will focus on the large size, but you may make any size you like. The fabrics used on the sample bag will be held for the class and are optional. Please feel free to select any fabrics you prefer. Class will meet for 4 hours per week for 3 weeks. An additional 1 hour Intro class will be held to get you started. The sample bag features embroidered outer pockets. If you choose to incorporate any embroidery, you’ll need to have that completed before the first 4 hour class. The overview will cover cutting and design aspects to help you get started. You can wait until after this overview to purchase your fabric and all materials. You will need to cut all the pieces and come ready in the first full session to work on your bags. You’ll need to purchase the Poppins bag pattern for the size you are making. You’ll also need to purchase the bag stays for the zippered opening. In addition, you’ll need to purchase the Bosal’s In-R-Form Plus foam interfacing and Bosal’s Craf-Tex Plus bag bottoms. You can choose precut bag bottoms or cut the bottoms from Craf-Tex Plus yardage. You can also use Peltex II (72F) for cutting the bag bottoms. I will have a selection of large purse zippers and handle tubing available at the overview session. Cost for the 4 session class is $50.

Cancelation Policy

You may cancel your class up to 5 days before the class begins and request to receive a store credit. If cancellation is made after that you will receive class kit to make project at home.
